Anqing's first export ship launched
On July 12, the first 300-foot export vessel from Anqing City made its debut at the Machinery Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shuyang County. The deck barge, constructed by Zhouyang Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a Singapore-based company that has successfully passed the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) inspection, boasts a full tonnage capacity of 8,000 tons. Originally established as the Shuyang County Shipyard, the company was acquired by Singapore Ocean Company in May of last year, with a total investment of $1.25 million. Since the acquisition, the firm has focused on expanding its international presence, with the majority of its products now being exported to global markets. This new ship marks a significant milestone for both the company and the region, showcasing enhanced capabilities in shipbuilding and international trade. The launch highlights the growing importance of Shuyang County as a key player in China's maritime industry.
