On July 22, 2015, the “Comprehensive Review Report on Manufacturing Conditions and Product Quality of Urea Water Solution for Vehicles ” organized by China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association was held in Beijing. After the review team evaluated the comprehensive assessment report of 11 urea companies, the signing ceremony of the CGT logo signing ceremony was also launched.

11 companies such as Xiamen Tongtong and the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association formally signed the "CGT Logo Use Contract." The signing of the contract also marks that the authorized urea companies will be able to supply the market with urea products with the CGT logo. While signing the use contract, companies that have been authorized to use the CGT logo have also voluntarily signed a "Contract on the Self-Regulation of CGT Marking Products for Vehicle Urea Solutions."

At the meeting, experts from the institutions of higher learning, professional inspection agencies, diesel engine manufacturing companies, post-processing manufacturing companies, and petroleum systems jointly witnessed the historic moment when the product with the CGT logo mark is about to be put on the market.

As we all know, vehicle urea is an essential product for heavy-duty diesel vehicles to meet the national IV emission standards. However, due to factors such as short storage period and more requirements for the filling system, the sales channels have not been fully implemented. In addition, the repeated delay of the National IV emission standards has also led to a slow development of the automotive urea industry.

With the implementation of the National 4th Standard this year, the number of cars in the country will continue to increase, and the demand for urea will rise. Under this circumstance, the problem of urea system construction, refueling and quality issues need to be resolved as soon as possible.

To this end, at the end of 2013, the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association organized some urea aqueous solution manufacturing enterprises, diesel engine manufacturing enterprises, and the engine industry exhaust gas aftertreatment engineering and technology research center of the machinery industry. On the basis of extensive consultation and discussion, the company compiled "Diesel Engine nitrogen oxides reductant · Urea aqueous solution manufacturing conditions and product quality supervision and management measures "(hereinafter referred to as "management measures") and "Diesel engine nitrogen oxides reducing agent urea aqueous solution manufacturing conditions and product quality supervision and management regulations" (Hereinafter referred to as the “Detailed Rule”), and was officially released on November 3, 2014 with the Chinese Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association (2014) No. 059; on the same day of December 2nd, the CGT logo was also used to promote the reduction of internal combustion engine energy. The work conference on scheduling and sustainable development was formally launched.

After the announcement of the CGT logo, it has been widely recognized by domestic and foreign industry insiders, and CGT and European AdBlue and American DEF are also called the urea brand logo in the world's three major regions. However, the difference between AdBlue and DEF is that the CGT logo will not be linked to money and interest, because the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association believes that there is no trade in environmental protection labels, and the industry's self-discipline and integrity are the first.

In order to ensure the market to supply regular urea products as soon as possible, in February 2015, the China National Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association commissioned the Engine Industry Engine Exhaust Aftertreatment Engineering Technology Research Center to conduct a preliminary review of 22 automotive urea companies that voluntarily applied for the use of the CGT logo. Approved 16 companies that meet the requirements of the "Administrative Measures" to enter the network application process. As of June 30, the Exhaust Aftertreatment Engineering Research Center of the Internal Combustion Engine of Machinery Industry has conducted on-site assessment of 11 companies and completed a comprehensive evaluation report.

It is understood that the review process is fair and rigorous. First of all, it must undergo a preliminary review, document review, and on-site quality management system review and other evaluation processes, including on-site quality management system review also involves the company's production technology, management, quality assurance, safety, health, environmental protection and other aspects. Finally, after the review and certification is completed, the company will also sort out the individual items that failed the inspection, notify the company and request that the rectification plan be made within the specified time, and follow-up will also review the implementation of the company's rectification. Then according to the rectification situation, on-site assessment results, judge whether the company can be selected.

At the meeting, the review working group conducted the final review of the comprehensive evaluation reports of the 11 urea companies that were included. The companies that passed the review will allow the sale of urea products with the CGT logo.

However, it is worth noting that the acquisition of a CGT logo by a company does not mean that it has received a talisman. During the meeting, Wei Anli, deputy secretary-general of the China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association, once again emphasized that although the application for vehicle urea marking logos is voluntary, the Association will adopt a system of liberalization, strict control, and high punishment for companies that have obtained CGT logo certification. Enterprises that first enter the system must follow the requirements of the "Administrative Measures." The China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association will supervise and randomize companies that obtain and use the CGT logo, and publish the assessment report publicly from time to time. Secondly, the Association will establish a voluntary recall and mandatory recall mechanism in response to strong market issues, quality defects in the supervision and spot checks, and products with suspected quality after self-inspection. In addition, the association also encourages media and consumers to supervise products using the CGT logo.

In addition, the right to use the CGT logo is not a tenure system and is valid for three years. Vehicle urea companies need to file an application for reexamination six months before the expiration date. In this regard, Wei Anli explained at the meeting: “The purpose of this is to make companies that use the CGT logo have a sense of crisis. At the same time, this regulation also reminds vehicle urea companies to produce products that meet the standards. Technical upgrading should also be carried out continuously to enhance its own strength."

According to reports, while signing the agreement to use the CGT logo, China Internal Combustion Engine Industry Association also commissioned the Engineering Industry Research Center for Exhaust Gas Treatment of Internal Combustion Engines of the Machinery Industry, and started the inspection of the quality of products sold by the automotive urea aqueous solution market. It is good news for the industry, users and car companies, providing favorable protection for regulating the urea market.

With the successful conclusion of the deliberation and signing ceremony, China's urea aqueous solution production and use finally entered the normal track. At the same time, through such a way, the urea industry has brought about a turn for the time being, and it also makes it easier for customers to identify and select qualified urea products. It can be said that the establishment of the urea logo is a good thing for the benefit of the Liberian government.
