This is from Eric Haak: Here are a few quick shots from Harvey’s fire scene on Sunday afternoon. I arrived a bit late, but the nice sunlight and clear blue skies made it worth sending in a couple of images. The first engine on the scene was the former Dixmoor Engine 33, which had been rebranded or reassigned to Harvey. The fire started in the rear porches and produced a strong header that was quite visible from the street. The responding crews did an excellent job containing the fire to the lower levels, preventing it from spreading into the attic or the rest of the structure, which was a fully occupied home. The visibility of the fire and the way the crews handled it made for some great photo opportunities. I hope these images give a sense of what happened on that day.
