China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau established

The inauguration ceremony of the China Railway Construction Bridge Engineering Bureau Group Co., Ltd. was held on April 17 at the Tianjin Railway Construction Building, and it has taken a solid step for the Group to build a “large-scale professional bridge building company with leading domestic and world-class”.

The Bridge Engineering Bureau Group, formerly the China Railway Construction 13 Bureau Group, was born in 1948. It has developed into a large-scale project general contracting enterprise group integrating construction, design, scientific research, real estate, and logistics, with 45 years ago. With 111 categories of qualifications, the construction area covers 31 provinces, cities and autonomous regions in China.

At present, the total length of the railway, road, and municipal bridge projects undertaken by the Bridge Engineering Bureau Group reaches more than 800 kilometers. Cross-river bridges and bay bridges are constructed to cover major rivers in China. Several bridge-stayed bridges, suspension bridges, and steel pipe arch bridges have been constructed. High-tech special structural bridges such as steel arch bridges include the bridge spanning bridges of the Shanghai-Longmen highway, the largest span steel-concrete arch bridge in the world, and the largest span steel truss girder flexible arch bridge in the world. Super Bridge, the world's highest railway Qinghai-Tibet railway landmark project Baogulang Bridge, China Railways largest span continuous rigid frame bridge Huangcao Wujiang Super Bridge, and China’s first dual-purpose bridge for public rail dual-use bridge Pingtan Strait railway dual-purpose bridge Wait. Formed the "three-cross Yangtze River, four-span Wujiang River, six-span Songhua River, eight-span bay, twelve cross-Yellow River" brand of bridge engineering advantages. At the same time, the company goes international and has constructed bridge projects in Kuwait, Malaysia and other countries. The company has won 11 Luban Awards, 6 Zhan Tianyou Awards, 16 National Quality Project Awards, 7 State-level Science and Technology Progress Awards, 21 National Engineering Methods, and 170 patents, filling more than 40 domestic technology gaps.

This reorganization and reconstruction is a major strategic deployment made by China Railway Construction in accordance with the development trend of the international and domestic markets and the establishment of a professional group with outstanding professional advantages and strong competitive strength. According to Jiang Yongjun, Chairman and General Manager of the Bridge Engineering Bureau Group, according to the new strategic positioning, the Bridge Engineering Bureau proposed that after three years, the proportion of bridge professional income to the total business revenue should not be less than 50%, and after 5 years, it should be 70% or more. We will endeavor to build the goal of specialization of bridges, completeness of the industrial chain, and taking into account the diversified "domestic-leading, world-class" large-scale professional bridge-building enterprises.
