·The performance of the three major Japanese car companies in China is uneven

In recent days, the three major Japanese automakers have released sales data in China in October this year. Honda, Nissan's performance in China is still sluggish, down year on year, only Toyota has achieved growth.
According to Reuters, Honda Motor Co. said on the 4th that sales of new cars in China fell by 5.8% in October from a year earlier, after falling for the fourth consecutive month after a decline of 23.1% in September. Honda Motor and its two joint ventures in China - Dongfeng Honda and Guangqi Honda - sold 70,802 vehicles in China. From January to October, Honda sold 573,154 vehicles in China, up 0.1% year-on-year.
At the same time, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. lowered its annual sales target in China by more than 10% in 2014, from 900,000 to 800,000. Honda China spokesperson Zhu Linjie attributed the decline in sales to inventory clearance before dealers released new models. And said that with the launch of several main cart types, sales will pick up.
Recently, Dong Yang, secretary general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, predicted that the growth rate of the auto market will further slow down to 7% during the year, compared with 13.9% last year. The China Passenger Car Association also pointed out that due to the tension between China and Japan, the market share of Japanese brand cars in China has gradually fallen behind that of European and American manufacturers in the past six years.
Japan’s second-largest automaker Nissan’s second-quarter (July-September) report released on the 4th showed that record sales in the US market – Honda’s largest auto sales market – offset the negative impact of slowing sales in China. Operating profit for the second quarter (July-September) was 139.34 billion yen (about $1.2 billion). Affected by the "China market recession, especially the weak light commercial vehicle market", the global sales target will be lowered by 200,000 units.
However, Toyota Motor’s statistics released on the 3rd showed that Toyota Motor and its two joint ventures in China, GAC Toyota and FAW Toyota, sold approximately 104,700 vehicles in China in October this year, up 27.1% year-on-year. Months keep growing. In the first 10 months of this year, Toyota sold a total of 815,000 vehicles in China, an increase of 13.3%. However, annual sales are also difficult to achieve target sales.
