Lithium battery supplier A123 Systems Inc. announced that its Advanced Traction Battery Systems (ATBS), a joint venture company established in China, will supply lithium-ion battery packs to Geely's new plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs).
According to the agreement, A123 will supply ATBS with 20Ah of columnar batteries for ATBS to produce battery packs for Geely's new PHEV. Geely will launch the new car in China in 2014.
The 20Ah cylindrical battery produced by A123 Systems has the following features: high power, high safety, long service life, and high available energy.
