According to Wu Xuefeng, deputy general manager of Dongfeng Liuqi, the popular brand has always been the MPV and commercial vehicle market. The new MPV model debuted at the end of the year was positioned as a high-end commercial vehicle with a body length of 5.2 meters, priced at 16 million yuan.

At present, Dongfeng Liuzhou has already had low-priced products Ling Zhi in the layout of MPV. This product is aimed at a huge micro-customer upgrade consumer group, Ling Zhi monthly sales of more than 6,000 vehicles, is the domestic MPV market segment Leader.

With the entry of the new mid-to-high-end MPVs at the end of this year, Dongfeng Liuzhou has expressed its intention to attack the joint venture led by GL8.

In the past two years, many joint ventures have placed new products in the MPV field and have been optimistic about the future. With the diversification of consumer demand, the market segment can be heated.

From January to May 2012, the MPV market sold 260,900 units, an increase of 4.43% year-on-year. In overseas markets, sales of MPVs in the United States accounted for 30% of the total passenger car market, Japan reached 40%, and the proportion of China's MPV still has much room for improvement.
