From Andy: Check out what LDV USA has built for the City of Naperville (IL): We recently completed a custom equipment vehicle for the City of Naperville in Illinois. The unit is built on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional cab chassis, paired with a custom aluminum body built by LDV. It includes an auto-opening and closing rear liftgate, integrated emergency and scene lighting, and a three-camera rear view system to assist with parking and maneuvering. The vehicle was prewired for communications radios, and a custom center console was fabricated to house all the installed electronics. Additionally, six roll-up exterior storage compartments were added, each featuring heavy-duty slide-out tray shelving for gear. There's also a vertical compartment designed for customer-installed shoring struts and tubing. Six pull-out platforms provide easy access to the upper storage shelves, making this a highly functional and versatile vehicle for emergency response operations.
