New truck for Norwood Park FPD (still more)
The Norwood Park Fire Protection District recently welcomed their new #Velocity 100’ #AscendantTower, which they’ve affectionately named “Island In The City.†This advanced aerial ladder truck is set to make a big difference for the district, especially when it comes to responding to emergencies in the area’s many high-rise buildings.

The mid-mount platform was specifically chosen for its enhanced maneuverability and improved visibility from the front of the truck, making it ideal for navigating the urban environment. Serving an area of 6.5 square miles, the district handles over 4,000 emergency calls annually and supports a population of more than 25,000 residents.
