This report comes from Scott Peterson:

A vehicle struck a power pole on Rand Road, just one block west of Arlington Heights Road. There was no entrapment reported at the scene. The driver remained inside the vehicle until Com-Ed personnel arrived and shut down the power. It's worth noting that this pole had a transformer installed. Com-Ed responded within 20 minutes of the fire department's arrival. Once they confirmed it was safe, Arlington Heights Fire Department crews carefully extracted the driver and transported them to Northwest Community Hospital.
