Arlington Heights one-car crash, 10-21-15
A vehicle collided with a power pole on Rand Road, just one block west of Arlington Heights Road. There was no entrapment involved in this incident. The driver remained inside the vehicle until Com-Ed personnel arrived and shut down the power. It's worth noting that the pole had a transformer attached to it. Com-Ed reached the scene within 20 minutes of the fire department's arrival. Once they confirmed it was safe, crews from the Arlington Heights Fire Department carefully extracted the driver and transported them to Northwest Community Hospital.
Units on scene included Engine 4, Ambulance 4, Squad 2, and Battalion 1.
