Failure Analysis and Treatment of Electronic Expansion Valve

The electronic expansion valve will fail one or the other. When a fault occurs, the fault needs to be analyzed in order to take correct measures to solve the fault of the electronic expansion valve. The failures of electronic expansion valves in Yulong, Jiaxing and Beijing are roughly divided into three categories: one is the failure of electronic throttle components, one is the failure of nozzle components, and the other is the failure of valve body components. The following is the fault analysis and treatment method for these three types of faults.

One. Failure Analysis and Treatment of Electronic Throttle Components

Open the shell of the electronic throttle element, turn on the power of the device, hold the coil of the electronic expansion valve with your hand, check whether there is any movement, and whether the coil has a work instruction.

1 Check whether the coil body of the electronic expansion valve is broken. If yes, reconnect the wires.

2 Check if the electronic expansion valve coil is loosely connected to the main board connector. If yes, please reinsert.

3 Check whether there is a fault alarm on the main board and eliminate other factors.

4 Check whether the output voltage of the motherboard is normal DC 12V.

5 Measure whether the electronic expansion valve coil resistance is normal 463. If abnormal, replace the coil.

two. Nozzle failure analysis and treatment

1 Apply soapy water to all welded parts and nut connection parts of the pipe to see if there are bubbles. If there is a leak, re-weld or adjust.

2 Before re-welding the pipeline, the valve body should be protected as required and the system should be cleaned.

three. Valve body failure analysis and treatment

After confirming that the resistance and joints of the coil part are normal, turn on the unit and run it. Hold the valve body part by hand and feel whether the valve body moves. The time from when the valve body is fully opened to when it is completely closed is about 6 seconds. When the valve body is in the fully open or fully closed position, if the voltage is continuously applied, the valve body will emit a large jamming tower sound. If the action time is too short or not action, the valve body limit mechanism or valve needle may be stuck, please do the following:

1 Remove the coil and check the stainless steel housing of the valve body for signs of collision. If yes, replace the valve body.

2 If the valve body does not move, gently tap the valve body portion of the valve body. If not, go to the next step.

3 Turn the machine on and off repeatedly. In the case of heating and cooling equipment, repeat the cooling / heating conversion three times. If the valve body moves after being energized, it means that impurities are stuck in the system. If it still does not work, remove the electronic throttle assembly.

4 Purge the removed electronic throttle components with clean nitrogen in the positive and negative directions, and then send a pulse signal to the monomer to observe whether the valve body is moving. If there is no action, return to the factory for further analysis.

5 After the above steps, the unit can be reinstalled and used normally. Before installation, the refrigeration system must be cleaned to prevent impurities from adhering again.
