The charging system of a motorcycle is composed of a magneto, a rectifier regulator, and a battery. The function of the rectifier regulator is to rectify the AC output of the magneto motor to a suitable DC to charge the battery. Because its technical indicators are relatively strict, and because the short-circuit voltage regulation method is inaccurate when the battery is disconnected, it is a difficult problem for the maintenance personnel. Here is the easiest way to detect the voltage regulation value of the short-circuit rectifier regulator: buy one The 35 volt 6800 microfarad capacitor is connected to the battery charging line, start the car, open the battery, add the throttle, measure the DC voltage across the capacitor, the 6 volt car is normal at 7.2 volts, and the 12 volt car is at 14 - 15.5 volts is normal (less than 14 volts will result in loss of power when the headlights are turned on, higher than 15.5 volts will overcharge the battery and shorten the life). The above can roughly determine whether the rectifiers can also directly measure the ends of the battery. Voltage and charging current (due to the large influence of the battery, it is easy to misjudge), the 6V car rises from 6.8 volts to 7.2 volts, and the 12 volt vehicle voltage rises from 12.7 volts to 14-15.5 volts, and the current gradually decreases. The voltage cannot drop when the headlights are normal. At present, the new switching rectifier regulator can measure the stable DC voltage, which is very intuitive. When the headlights are turned on, it is normal to increase the throttle voltage value within the specified range.
