Chicago FD house fire 5-7-13

This report comes from Dan Shevlin:

Still & Box Alarm 5814 Roscoe
Still Time: Approximately 1410 hours
Engine 94 was the first to arrive on the scene, responding to a fire facing westbound and immediately deployed two lines. Truck 53 was assigned to Sector 1. Engine 7, as the second engine, positioned itself at the northwest corner of Newport and Menard, then advanced a line through the alley toward the rear of the structure. Engine 68 approached from the east on Roscoe and also laid down a line. The Fire Alarm Operator received multiple calls about the gazebo in the backyard being on fire. The flames quickly spread to the rear of the Chicago bungalow, moved up through the attic, and then extended to the exposure to the west. I arrived well after the fire had been brought under control. Thanks for the update, Dan Shevlin.
