On November 11, the Home Networking Summit, organized by HomePlug Alliance, a global powerline communications networking industry group, was held in Beijing. This home networking summit aims to introduce HomePlug's latest developments in home networking for network communications and discusses how HomePlug's interworking technology meets the growing demand for high-speed broadband and smart grid applications in China. The HomePlug Alliance is a group of about 60 companies working together on developing powerline network specifications and certification schemes. HomePlug products that currently have more than 100 million devices on the market are widely used by consumers and service providers to enhance the performance of home networks while expanding the reach of Wi-Fi mobile networks.
