This is from Larry Shapiro: Early this afternoon, Long Grove firefighters responded to a tractor-trailer rollover on the ramp from northbound I-53 to westbound Lake Cook Road. The location is known for frequent truck accidents throughout the year. Alongside Long Grove units, Buffalo Grove Tower 25 also arrived at the scene. The driver was trapped inside the vehicle and required immediate extrication. Once the driver was safely transported to the hospital, fire crews remained on standby while a towing and recovery company took over the operation to upright and remove the truck and trailer.
