Here's a message from Eric Haak:

At around 5:25 PM on Thursday, the Cicero Fire Department was called to a residential structure fire on the 3500 block of South 56th Court. The first responding units arrived to find heavy flames coming from the back of a 25 by 30-foot, single-story home. Firefighters quickly deployed and brought the fire under control within less than 10 minutes.

These photos, taken by Eric Haak, show the quick response of the firefighters as they worked to contain the blaze. It’s clear that the team acted swiftly, which likely prevented the fire from spreading further. The images capture the intensity of the situation, including thick smoke and firefighters using hoses to douse the flames. Two different fire engines are visible, one being an E-One and the other a Seagrave, both stationed near a hydrant. The community is grateful for the efforts of the first responders in keeping the damage minimal and ensuring everyone's safety.
